Hawthorn lives and works in rural Derbyshire, surrounded by children, cats and apple trees. She lives in an increasingly ramshackle house which threatens to fall down around her ears, and she is, among other things, a reader, a writer, an editor, an occasional blogger, a teacher, a psychologist, a musician and a textile artist.
She edits other people’s words for a (partial) living, but she has also written erotic short stories, academic research papers, local history articles for museums and magazines, and has guest-posted on blogs on a variety of subjects. She is also in possession of at least two fantasy novels in draft form, and really must do something about getting them published.
Is that not the coolest bio you’ll ever read? That’s my sister-over-the-water!
