Shermaine Williams is a Londoner of West Indian parentage, who has a body that is aged around thirty and a mind that veers between eighteen and sixty-two.

She had ambitions of being a writer since she was a child, but still likes to think that she is far from stereotypical. Rather than follow her aspirations, she went to university and spent a decade immersed in the pleasure that only insurance and law can provide.
