When I first heard about this series, I believed it would be a trilogy, so I was a tad confused when this was changed. However, I now get it. This is still a trilogy, of sorts, with Eighty Days Red being the last in a certain storyline. The next books go on to deal with different characters, which I’m very much looking forward to.

Anyway, onto this book. Eighty Days Red, in my opinion, is the best of these three books which deal with Summer and Dominik. As always, the pair of them flit around the world, and meet each other in London, Brighton and Paris, with their relationship still being incredibly complicated. What brings them back together in the first place is Summer’s violin. It’s stolen, and when Dominik finds out, he’s as distraught as Summer, and resolves to help find it, which opens up a whole new story for Dominik, which he decides to write about in his next novel.

Once they’ve seen one another, the pair of them find the attraction impossible to deny. But can they get past all the obstacles that stand between them, or are they destined to be apart?

It goes without saying that this book is well written. It deals with a multitude of characters, situations and locations, all of which are fast-paced and fascinating. I’m not saying any more because I don’t want to give any spoilers. This was a great read and wrapped up the trilogy very nicely – I’m looking forward to reading Eighty Days Amber now.
