Formula One isn’t my thing, but I do enjoy Lily Harlem’s books, so I was more than happy to read Accelerated Passion. I’m really glad I did, too. Yes, the book is centred on F1, but it’s not so involved or detailed that you’d gloss over it if you weren’t interested. It’s an integral part of the story, but there’s so much more going on. Like sparks, like hot sex, like romance.

This love story between F1 star Dean Cudditch and his new female mechanic, Frankie, is amazing. I don’t want to say too much and give the plot away, but it felt very real – despite being about worlds most of us can only dream about. The way the characters react around each other and the chemistry between them is incredibly well done. I liked the characters very much, too, and found myself rooting for them throughout.

Overall, this is a fun, sexy, intriguing story with plenty of sparks and super-hot sex scenes. You definitely don’t need to be into Formula One to read this – just erotic romance with lashings of heat.
