Heat of the Day is a scorcher (pun intended) of a short story from Lily Harlem. It tells the tale of long-term couple Flynn and Piper. They’ve been travelling together, and are currently in Spain, living in a caravan park, working temporary jobs and having fun. The last few months have been especially fun because their twosome became a threesome with the addition of sexy Seraphim, a gorgeous guy who beds both halves of the couple.

But things take a turn for the worse when Sera has to go home to Portugal to deal with a family matter. When he doesn’t return, Flynn and Piper are devastated – thinking he’s run off and left them behind, whereas they’d thought there was more to their threesome than just sex. Is there more to the situation than meets the eye?

This was a super hot and yet emotional short story. The setting gave the whole thing a very escapist feel, and yet it was packed full of angst, too. I liked the characters, and would definitely like to read more about them if Lily decided to do a follow up, or even a prequel. Overall, I recommend this quick threesome tale – it’ll definitely get you hot under the swimming costume!
