In the Eyes of the Law is an erotic romance short story by Ashe Barker. It tells the story of Libby and Josh. They’re an almost-divorced, estranged couple. Things have been over between them for some time, but when they bump into each other again under unusual circumstances, things take a turn for the unexpected. It seems that the spark between them is still there and that maybe, just maybe, there’s no real reason to finalise their divorce.

This is a really great little story. It’s laden with heat and intrigue, and keeps you guessing what’s going to happen next. I really liked the characters, and enjoyed what Barker managed to do in a relatively short space of time. Overall, I’d highly recommend this kinky yet romantic story to those who enjoy spanking romances.
