Her private life, however, begins to look up when she meets the owner of a comic book store that is opening up near to her shop. Gavin Wallace is handsome, fun and smart, and when he tells her he fully supports her business model, it’s just another tick in the box. But it wouldn’t be much of a story if things went smoothly, would it? When Gavin confesses that his dad is the MP that is trying to get her business closed down, she realises just how different they, and their backgrounds, are, and wonders if she can really trust him. Can they find a middle ground and move forward, or is their relationship over before it really started?
I really enjoyed this fun novella. It does cover some serious issues and has some angst, but is also fun – probably down to the chemistry and banter between the two main characters. It’s an easy, sexy read, and one I’d recommend if you’re looking for a hot, fairly quick read.
